Super Sunday Festival, celebrating and honoring Big Chief Robbe — the Chief of Chiefs.
This opportunity came through a relationship built while collaborating with the NFL on the Super Bowl project. During that time, I had the chance to sit down with one of the respected elders, Mr. Butler, who shared knowledge about the history, culture, and legacy of the Mardi Gras Indians. That conversation helped shape the spirit behind this piece.
Last year I had the honor of creating the Super Bowl Sunday poster, and this year I was blessed to create the Super Sunday poster — two moments that celebrate the culture, history, and traditions that make New Orleans what it is.
Grateful to the Mardi Gras Indian Council for trusting me to visually honor such an important figure and tradition.
